Chiang rai 2018
Back to my hometown once in a while. I’ve been back home every new year but 2018 was a little different. Some of my friends from Bangkok came and we visited a few places.
Then in Fabuary I went back home again for my friend’s wedding. There, was a time of Singha International Balloon Fiesta 2018, as well.
We visited The Black House (Baan Dam by Thawan Duchanee). I’ve been here a few times before the late artist Thawan Duchanee passed away. After his death, this place turned into a museum and they charge entrance fee of 80 Thai Baht to cover maintenance costs.
We went up to Doi Mae Salong and stayed a night. There are villages, temples, schools, markets, and many good restaurants. Doi Mae Salong is famous for its mixed culture of Thai and Chinese Yunnan. You can also taste some fine tea grown around here.
